CTMH has done it again......

CTMH and Cricut teamed up again for their 3rd joint cartridge. If you thought the first two (Art Philosophy and Artiste) were awesome, then you will love ARTBOOKING even more!

Please note that this cartridge is not available to the general public until August 1.  There are 2 ways to get this cartridge (and one will get it to you before August 1!):

  1. Sign up to be a Close To My Heart Consultant right away and then you'll be able to order this in July, and at the 22% minimum discount (that makes this $99 cartridge no more than $77.22 before shipping and handling) that  Consultants get.
  2. Order from me after August 1.

Take your scrapbooking to never-before-seen levels with the new Cricut® Artbooking collection! With oodles of images in each of 15 layout themes, you can create several coordinating pages for each theme using just two keys and one dial size. Images include accents, borders, titles, overlays, photo mats—in standard photo sizes!—and more. The Cricut® keys are optimized for creating 12" × 12" pages in a jiffy. You'll also love creating 10 themed mini books, also optimized for several different sizes using just two keys and one dial size. When you're finished cutting, use the coordinating stamp sets and Dimensional Elements shapes to add even more pizzazz!
Collection includes:
1 – Cartridge (700 images: Font, Mini Books, Layouts)
3 – My Acrylix® D-size stamp sets
3 – 12" × 9" Dimensional Elements (3 sheets of different shapes)
Creative Feature Keys: Title, Photo Mat 1, Photo Mat 2, Icon, Border, Overlay.

DIY Wedding Part 9

Welcome to Part 9!! If you have missed yesterdays post, you can view it here.

Today we will look at my favorite handmade item in this series, the Aisle Kissing Ball decorations.  These were made just as the Tossing Bouquet and the Flower Girl's Kissing Ball were made. All three wedding colors were used: CTMH White Daisy, Recollections White, CTMH Pacifica, CTMH Black.

A flower handle to hang the balls from the chairs at the ceremony was pinned on first. The flowers were cut, inked, rolled and stacked, and pinned onto the styrofoam ball. The final piece of adding pearls to the insides of the flowers was skipped due to time constraints. There were to be 10, but only 8 were completed before the wedding. Two large bows made up the reserved row using the ribbon that coordinated with the handle of the kissing balls.

Thank you for viewing today's DIY Wedding project, and be sure to check back tomorrow for the last one!!

DIY Wedding Part 6

Welcome to Part 6!! If you have missed yesterdays post, you can view it here.

Today we are going to look at a handmade Flower Girl Kissing Ball. This mimic's the Tossing Bouquet made, except with a ribbon handle instead of pencil stems.

Materials Used:
Ribbon
Pins
Liquid Glas
CTMH Pacifica paper
CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartrdige
White Stephanotis

DIY Wedding Part 5

Welcome to Part 5!! If you have missed yesterdays post, you can view it here.

Today we are going to look at some handmade centerpieces.  These were created using little jars, old CTMH Embellishment tubes, dowel rods (wrapped with floral tape), floral wire, pearls, 3D Roses cut from the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge, as well as layered Gerbera Daisies from the Cricut Art Philosophy.

Cardstock Colors used: CTMH White Daisy, Recollections White, CTMH Pacifica, CTMH Black.

I had to switch to the Recollections White for the Daisies, as the CTMH White Daisy was too thick and not cutting well for these small intricate cuts.

The centerpieces were finished off with a white ribbon tied around the jar.

DIY Wedding Part 4

Welcome to Part 4!! If you have missed yesterdays post, you can view it here.

Today we will take a look at making your own special table numbers. These table numbers started out as wood blocks from Oriental Trading.

The blocks were then painted black to match the wedding theme colors. To mimic the wedding invitations (seen here), a white band with the initial was wrapped around the center, this time adding the bride and groom's names to the two sides, and the same photo used throughout the wedding decor on the back.

The top was a band welded together using the Ribbons & Rosettes Cricut Cartridge, a heart punch, and one of the postage stamp sets by CTMH. The table numbers were cut from the Calligraphy Cricut Cartridge and glued to the front heart. The back was stamped with the wedding date (blurred out), and "Newlywed".

DIY Wedding Part 2

Welcome back to DIY Wedding!! If you missed Part 1, click here.  Today we will take a look at a hand-made Tossing Bouquet.

Materials used are:
6in Styrofoam Ball
Pencils (sharpened)
Liquid Glass
Pins
Flowers
Floral Tape
Bouquet Band (for around the stems)

With the help of Close To My Heart's Exclusive Cricut Cartridge, Art Philosophy, and the idea from fellow CTMH Consultant Christine, Roses and Gerbera Daisies were cut and glued together.

Each pencil is wrapped in floral tape, and then it is wrapped as a whole enough to hold it together while being stuck into the styrofoam ball. It is then wrapped with a band to give it a finished look.

Each blue (CTMH Pacifica Cardstock) rose, is inked with CTMH Black Ink, as well as the 3D centers on the Gerbera Daisies. Each flower has a black pearl in the center.  The flowers are rolled, or stacked, and once the glue was dried, they were pinned into the styrofoam ball. A little bit of liquid glass was used to make sure they stuck to the styrofoam ball. White Stephanotis flowers were added to provide a little bit of color.

Thanks for viewing this DIY Wedding Project and be sure to check back tomorrow for another one!!

DIY Wedding Part 1

Hi Everyone!! Seeing that summer time is a time where most people like to get married, I thought I would share some DIY items that you can make.  While making things yourself sounds like fun, there is a lot of work that goes into them.

We will start off this little series with the Invitation. With the help of the Cricut Cartridge George and Basic Shapes and Cricut Design Studio Software, this outer envelope was designed. The Response card (embossed with wedding bells) and Envelope was set inside the center. A photo is "hanging" on the right hand side, and the Directions & Information is inside a pocket on the left. The top and bottom flaps are also embossed.

The envelope folds up and is held close with a Monogram Band.

You can see here the embossing on the top and bottom flaps of the envelope.

Thank you for viewing this post, and check back tomorrow for another DIY Wedding Project!!
